Acacia Water

Acacia Water is an independent Dutch consultancy company specialized in developing sustainable solutions for water issues worldwide. Acacia Water has its headquarters in Gouda, the Netherlands, and has recently expanded with a Horn of Africa branch office in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The company is driven by a mission to ensure the availability of clean, healthy, and safe water for all.

In 2008 Acacia Water BV was officially established, and since then we are a consultancy company that provides innovative water management techniques and interventions. We have specific expertise in rural water supply and water management in developing countries, particularly in arid, semi-arid, and coastal areas. In the Netherlands we are piloting innovative solution for rural areas with salinization and/or land subsidence. The Acacia Water team consists of committed and enthusiastic experts from different disciplines with broad experience. Our employees have spent significant portions of their lives and careers working abroad, which enables them to adapt quickly to the local and national contexts of our projects. We actively collaborate with locally established consultants and international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) to ensure that our work is grounded in the needs and priorities of local communities. Whether our professionals work in the Netherlands or abroad, our goal remains the same: to provide smart, sustainable, and practical solutions to water-related issues, and to improve access to clean and safe water for all.
